The All Hands Club is located inside the Coast Guard Station in the North End of Boston. Parking will be provided inside the base.
The base entrance is directly across from the end of Hanover St, but the easiest way to approach it is along Commercial St.
From the ceremony (52 Oxford St garage)
- Turn left onto Oxford St, then left onto Kirkland St.
- Follow Kirkland all the way through Cambridge and Somerville (it will become Washington St and then Somerville Ave before becoming the McGrath Highway/Rt 28).
- Bear right on the entry ramp to Rt 28/McGrath Hwy South. After about a mile (Cambridgeside Galleria will be on your right), turn left onto Gilmore Bridge/Charlestown Ave.
- Turn right onto Rutherford Ave/Rt 99 & cross Charlestown Bridge.
- Turn left onto Causeway St, which becomes Commercial St. After just over 1/4 mile, the entrance will be on your left.
Pull up to the guard booth, state your name(s) & that you’re here for the wedding at the All Hands Club, and be prepared to show your photo ID. Drive up into the parking area, then loop back towards this (southern) end of the lot. The Compass Room entrance is on the right as you approach the building.
Alternate Route
If you pass the Museum of Science on Rt 28, you’ve either chosen to be “independent minded” or you missed the Gilmore Bridge turn. No problem!
- Continue through Leverett Circle and go straight (onto Martha Rd which becomes Lomasney Way) (< 1/2 mi)
- Turn left onto Causeway St. Drive past the TD Garden (honking to cheer the Celtics on against Cleveland!). Causeway will become Commercial & the base will be on your left (> 1/2 mi).
So if you get lost, ask for directions to either the Museum of Science or the Garden, and go from there. Then, never tell a soul.
